Ahh…when a 5 course meal is actually affordable, it can only mean one out a few things-either there’s a typo on the menu, the food is terrible, or you’re in Taiwan. You can go with the latter on this one. I might have mentioned before that things in Taiwan are a lot cheaper. It’s quite nice. I mean, it’s still considered expensive, but nothing like the price of a 5 course meal you would get in the US.
There are always a lot of family dinners whenever we go back, so we always have large meals…this one was at Tasty Steakhouse.
Well, let’s start off with the appetizer! Yum yum. Fresh shrimp and vegetables with an aloe drink (that you can’t really see).
Baked mushrooms with garlic and cheese.
Danish pastry with beef.
You also get your choice of salad-potato salad, fruit salad, romaine hearts salad, or beef jelly salad.
Now for the soup! I chose the pumpkin soup with king oyster mushroom. So savory…there’s just something I love about Western styled soups. I’m going to add that to my list of foods to make next! Yay!
Drumroll please…now the main dish! Okay by this time, I’m generally already full and it’s an exercise to keep eating. It’s a good thing that my cousin has a large appetite, hehe (because then I just pile all my leftovers onto his plate).
Roasted chicken and fish for my sister.
And roasted pork for me!
They say that you have another stomach just for dessert…I’d have to agree on that one!
Mango panna cotta.
One of my cousins’s raspberry cake.
Vanilla ice cream with a chocolate bag. Okay, this is such a fun dessert. See that wonton wrapper looking thing? It’s filled with liquid chocolate, and you poke a hole into it and drizzle it all over your vanilla ice cream! Or just drink the chocolate, I suppose?
The drinks come last, I’m not really sure why. But here’s my aunt’s fruit juice (not sure what kind) with basil seed.
And my oh so lovely mango smoothie.
Looking at all these pictures is literally making my stomach grumble…Oy.
Anyways, I do have to say that the customer service at Tasty Steakhouse is soooo incredible. The staff is super nice and hospitable. Nothing wrong with being too polite. You have a variety of choices for each course, and there is so much food. After finishing my meal, I made a mental note to not eat lunch if I were to ever come back here for dinner. Basically, these portions are very sufficient for my appetite to go ahead and just skip one meal.
This is definitely a popular place to eat with family, go on dates, or just have dinners with some friends!
Mhm. Have a lovely day readers! ♥
