There’s just something so peaceful about bright city lights in all of its simple beauty. Sometimes looking at city lights just amazes me-all the busy cars, people, and just the life that exists before your eyes. In a world where we feel as if some of our problems are so big, I look at these views and I’m always reminded of how small we actually are. How insignificant some things can be when you see other glimpses of the world that really puts your life and all the issues you think you have into perspective. We’re not so big after all, are we? Billions of other people who also call the Earth home. Amazing. And yet you only see so little of it. Travelling, seeing the world-it really does wonders.
The view of the entire city of Taichung.
You can go to the roof from one of the elevators in my grandma’s apartment…it’s mainly for people to hang up their clothes and dry during the day, but I like to think of it as a secret escape into a magical world where I feel like I’m a bird.
“Choose your corner, pick away at it carefully, intensely and to the best of your ability and that way you might change the world.” ~Charles Eames
Yes, I actually did this. I sat on the ledge of a 16 story building while my legs quivered, my palms started sweating, my hands were shaking, and my heart started beating at a rate of a million miles per hour-yet with a sliver of fearlessness, I looked out into the cityscape and learned to let myself free of fear. (But only temporarily, hahahaha.)
Go out and see the world today. Have a lovely day ♥
